What is RAD-150?

Modified version of RAD-140 (esterified prodrug form). Selective androgen receptor modulator designed to improve pharmacokinetics over RAD-140. Synthetic nonsteroidal compound targeting androgen receptors.

How it works

Esterification of RAD-140 creates prodrug that extends duration via delayed ester hydrolysis in vivo. Once activated, binds androgen receptor with similar selectivity as parent compound.

Background & history

RAD-140 developed by Radius Health; shown anabolic efficacy in preclinical models. RAD-150 (TLB-150) is analog modification designed to prolong half-life. Neither advanced to human clinical trials.

Very limited human evidence; primarily animal studies. RAD-140 (parent) has more preclinical data showing anabolic effects. RAD-150 modification intended to extend half-life, but human data is essentially absent. Testosterone suppression expected.
